Staff Management – The Heartbeat of the Clinic


Staff management is arguably the most important aspect of Practice Management.

There are three major elements that are a routine part of Staff Management.

These three main elements are:

  • Training
  • Supervision
  • Organizational Systems

Training

Well trained caring staff services the patients in a manner that results in high retention and provides a basis for high patient recommendation which results in referrals and good publicity.

This is perhaps the most important part of Staff Management as it created the backbone of all of the Practice jobs, duties and activities.

Supervision

This of course is the actual hands on management of the staff and all things relative to staff performance and productivity.

Organizational Systems

These are the systems that the Practice uses to manage the flow of communication and production in the Clinic.

Also an integral part of Staff Management are the Personnel, Communication and Statistics functions and ensuring that Staff know what these are and how they are used.
